AOA - 단발머리(Short Hair) MV Review
Okay. So, the very first post in my blog turns out to be a review for AOA's new comeback song called 단발머리 (Short Hair). If you haven't watched the MV, here it is.
And if you haven't heard about these girls, do check out their profiles on wikipedia here. To introduce roughly, they are a 7-member (or shall I say 8? I will explain why) idol group managed by FNC Entertainment (also the company of big names such as CN Blue and FT Island). They have a unique concept: having two subunits right from their debut - AOA White and AOA Black. AOA White consists of 7 members and they are basically an idol group and AOA Black consists of 5 members (4 of the members from AOA White + drummer Youkyung) and they are a band. That's the reason i said they have 8 members. They debutted 2 years back and are currently one of the most promising rookie groups, gradually gaining popularity globally.
Now, to jump into the Short Hair MV, i'll start with the change in members' appearances. There weren't shocking changes and the biggest ones would be Yuna cutting her hair short and the maknae Chanmi not with a full-fringe anymore. But of course, as the song name implies, all of them changed into short-hair looks at the end of the MV.

| First stage at M Countdown on the day of MV release: Seolhyun has always been with long hair so a bit weird to see her with bob-hair though. |
As for the concept, AOA has been gradually going towards sexy concept recently and it was no exception in this song but they have also added in some elements like cute and chic looks (for example Mina, Yuna and Seolhyun's outfits).

| Point Choreograph of this song |
The choreography was good but honestly, I feel it is lacking the unique "wow" factor that makes people want to watch again and again, which they have successfully pulled off with Confused's lip dance and Miniskirt's butt dance.
Overall, it is a great song with a concept that suits very well with the girls themselves. It might not be AOA's best song but it is definitely a song to watch out for and I am looking forward to watch more of their performances in music shows.
